Property Prices Increase in North Cyprus

Property prices have seen a second months increase according to many of the local agencies.  Whilst the rest of the UK is still hovering around the bottom on the down turn, the same cant be said for property in this unique situation.

Keep in mind rental history. Investors who invest in real estate that is alreadybeing occupied should think about the rental history of the investment property. The better the rental history, the more confident a buyer can feel that the property will be easy to keep rented. Rental property that has been vacant for several months can be a hint that rentals in the location are down.

Soyer’s opinion on the progress of the current round of talks held that by 2009 he hoped to have European Parliamentary elections in a federal Cyprus, but posited that the talks were going slowly and made an indication that he personally believed that the Greek Cypriot Republic of Cyprus did not wish to cede the Turkish Cypriots equal status within a confederation state that would exist afterreunification.

At current it is one of the most impressively appreciating markets in Europe, if not the world, but prices are still low; starting the decade at £9,000 per acre, they are now worth around £90,000 an acre. This is, of course, a massive growth, but still cheap.

The current round of negotiations that are going on in North Cyprus between the leader of the republic of Cyprus, Demetris Christofias, and the primary of the de facto state of North Cyprus, Mehmet Ali Talat are making, for the first time real headway, with the UN, the EU and several non-governmental organisations all putting their optimistic support behind the leaders in the move towards Cyprus Reunification.

And, of course, if one owns real estate domestically, there is potential for purchase on that property’s equity. So even during the recession, if money is scare, equity can be the answer to the problem of financing a move into overseas investment, and overseas investment can in itself prove to be a way to turn scarce finance into fertile finance.
